Repeat Prescriptions

Patients are only put on a programme for obtaining repeat prescriptions after discussion with the doctor. Once a year you will need to see a doctor to review the medication you have on repeat.

Please order your medication in good time.

Routine Repeat Requests

Please note 48 hours’ notice is required for repeat prescription requests.

We do not take telephone requests for repeat prescriptions.

To obtain a repeat prescription you can either:

  • Register with the Practice for on line services
  • Fax your request to us on 0121 475 2807
  • Post a written request to us with a stamped self-addressed envelope for return posting
  • Place a written request or repeat form (right hand side of prescription) in the special box provided on the reception desk.

If you wish a chemist to collect your prescription for you, you must arrange this directly with the chemist.

Requests for urgent prescriptions should be arranged by speaking with the Reception Staff.

Electronic Prescriptions

The Practice now offer an electronic prescription request service where patients are able to elect their preferred Pharmacy for their repeat prescription requests to be sent electronically to the Pharmacy for either patient collection or delivery. Please contact the Practice for more information and registration to the service.
